Doing a workout

Log reps and weight, use the rest timer, save each set.

When your trainer sends you a program, each session appears in Trainer workouts. Tap one to start.

The set flow

For every set:

  1. Read the target — the app shows the reps, the intensity (weight, RPE, percentage), and any note your trainer left.
  2. Do the set.
  3. Enter what you actually did — adjust the reps if you deviated, and type the weight you used.
  4. Save Performance. The set is stored, the rest timer starts.

The rest timer

The rest timer starts automatically when you save a set. It counts down from the rest your trainer prescribed for that set on that week. When the countdown reaches zero, your phone alerts you.

If your trainer set a different rest for different weeks, you'll see the value for your current week.

Warm-up and prep

Sessions may have a warm-up time at the top; some exercises have a prep-time note. These are shown to you but not counted by the timer.

Notes from your trainer

If your trainer added a note to an exercise, it sits below the target.

Being coached is free

You don't need a paid plan to receive, do, or save your trainer's workouts. The barbell weight scanner (the camera icon that reads the plates loaded on the bar) is the only workout tool that needs a paid subscription; tapping it will offer to upgrade. Everything else — sets, reps, weight, rest timer, notes — works on the free plan.

After the session

Tap Finish. The whole session is saved. If you're offline, the app keeps it on the phone and uploads later — see Offline logging.
