PTdash is a web app. You can leave it in a browser tab or install it so it opens in its own window with an icon on your dock or home screen. It's the same PTdash either way — the install just gets rid of the browser chrome and gives it a place to live next to your other apps.
Chrome or Edge on a computer
- In the address bar, look for the small install icon on the right side. Click it, then choose Install.
- Or open the browser menu (⋮) and pick Install PTdash (Chrome) / Apps → Install this site as an app (Edge).
PTdash opens in its own window and shows up in your applications list.
Safari on Mac
Open PTdash in Safari and choose File → Add to Dock. Confirm the name (PTdash) and pick Add. The icon lands in your Dock; clicking it opens PTdash as a standalone window.
iPhone (Safari)
- Open PTdash in Safari.
- Tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow up).
- Scroll and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Confirm the name (PTdash) and tap Add.
The icon appears on your home screen. Tap it to open PTdash without the Safari chrome.
On iPhone you'll need to sign in once more inside the installed app. iOS treats a home-screen web app as a separate space from Safari, so your Safari session doesn't carry over. Sign in the first time you open the installed icon and you're set.
Android (Chrome)
Open PTdash in Chrome, tap the menu (⋮), and pick Install app (or Add to Home screen on some devices). Confirm the name and tap Install.
What changes after installing
- The app opens in its own window, without the browser address bar.
- The PTdash icon lives in your dock or on your home screen.
- Nothing else changes — same features, same login, same data.
- The installed app is not offline: it needs an internet connection like the browser version.
- To remove it, uninstall it like any other app on your system.
